About me

Hello, most recently I was a Vice President of commerce at Dotdash Meredith, where I oversaw the commerce teams on their food, travel and pet brands. This included Serious Eats, Food & Wine, Travel+Leisure, Allrecipes, EatingWell and Spruce Pets.

Previously I was an SVP at Weber Shandwick, where I was able to help IBM develop an audience focused marketing plan. I also acted as senior counsel to IBM leaders on how to create compelling stories around Cloud, AI and Tech for Good.

Before joining Weber Shandwick, I was a science and technology journalist and editor for over 25 years.

My roles included being the Editorial Director of Allconnect, a Red Ventures company. There, I set up an SEO driven newsroom built from the ground up to drive both evergreen, educational and thought leadership traffic to the site.

I was also the Science and Technology Editor of Dailymail.com, the world’s biggest newspaper website. I led both the London and New York newsrooms, with responsibility for managing science and tech coverage. I also spearheaded the birth of branded content for Dailymail.com and helped mentor young journalists on the Mail’s trainee scheme.

I’ve also worked as a freelance journalist in San Francisco, where I wrote for publications ranging from Wired, The Telegraph and Pocket Lint to T3 and Stuff. I secured exclusive interviews with industry leaders such as Sir Jonathan Ive at Apple and Amit Singhal, then Google’s head of search.

I’ve been on staff as a Science and Technology editor and reporter at The Sunday Times and London Evening Standard.

Originally from Wales, I currently live in upstate New York with my wife and dog.
